Just in the last hour CDC Dir. Walensky said, "If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic."
She and Dr. Fauci led a news conference on the new CDC guidelines allowing social distancing and masks to end if you are fully vaccinated.
People in Missouri have been doing this for quite some time, however, this means many states still in lockdown, like Illinois, will have rules and restrictions end. This is a chance to move forward.
Dr. Walensky also said that "the science is also very clear about unvaccinated people: you remain at risk of mild or severe illness, of death, or of spreading the disease."
