Missouri Congressman Billy Long tells Marc Cox that the US needs to get off Russian oil.
"I agree with [Sen] Joe Manchin 100-percent," says Long. "This deal of us financing this war by buying Russian oil is untenable, absolutely unexcusable."
Long tells Marc Cox of the Marc Cox Morning Show that the sanctions against Russia need to be stronger.
"Sanctions do you absolutely no good if you don't enforce them, but why this is not sanctioning the oil is beyond belief," says Long.
Long hopes there will be some push-back from people in Russia against Vladimir Putin noting that he heard an oligarch offered a billion dollars to arrest him.
"I don't know what arrest means, in a permanent resting position or whether arrest and put him in jail," joked Long, "but hopefully they can get Putin out of there by hook of by crook and turn this thing around."
Long is a Republican candidate for the Senate seat in Missouri.
