Former television reporter Ethan Forhetz joined Marc Cox to detail the work that Convoy of Hope is doing to help the refugees leaving Ukraine following the invasion by Russia. Many of those refugees wind up in neighboring Poland.
"Many of them left with just a suitcase," says Forhetz, "most of them are women, children and the elderly, because the men are staying back to fight."
Forhetz tells Cox that Convoy of Hope has been working in Ukraine since 2014 and with the European Union for many years. They are sending a team to Poland today to head up distribution of their supplies that will be purchased in Europe.
"They will work on buying product in country," says Forhetz. "With the supply-chain crisis still going on, getting supplies from here, is not the best way to go about that."
