Jon Schanzer: 'The relationship we have with Israel is one that continues to yield positive results for the US'

Senior Vice President for Research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies Jonathan Schanzer said the whole attack started from Hamas shooting rockets into Jerusalem.
Hamas is sponsored by Iran and most of the rockets shot from the terrorist organization were provided by Iran.
"Israel is still firing at Hamas targets in Gaza. This is a defensive war for Israel," he said.
Hopefully, we won't see something like this for many years. How does Biden's administration relationship with Iran affect one of our greatest allies, Israel, and our foreign policy? Schanzer said it's going to complicate things completely. On one hand, we are sending a message that we stand with our ally Israel. On the other hand, we may be getting into another Iran Nuclear Deal. We know that money doesn't stay in Iran. Hamas is one of the terrorist groups Iran funds. Once we sign onto the Iran Nuclear Deal, that means we are lending a hand in funding these types of organizations.
What does the Biden administration get out of funding both sides of a war like this?
They, of course, will not see it that way, but Schanzer said when the US provides large amounts of cash to Iran that is perpetuating the war and the funds to build weapons of war.
