Rockets are being fired and dozens are killed as Israel and Hamas trade attacks

Leading expert of foreign policy and national security Jim Carafano said the Hamas is actually a terrorist organization and the last thing the Palestinians want to see is the success of the Abraham Accords.
"This is a Hamas-inspired war against Israel," he said.
Is there specific timing for this event? Carafano said it's a good question, especially since the US just changed presidents. He said look what is going on in the world: Iran is back in business, there is a large wing of the Democratic party that favors the Muslim Brotherhood, and tensions between Israel and Palestine have become the center of conversation again.
Carafano said the notion that this isn't going to come back to the United States at some point is a lie. Ramifications could affect us greatly.
"Instability and war in that region could lead to a recurrence of transnational terrorism," he said.
