Gregg Keller, principal at Atlas Strategy Group and spokesman for the pro-Ken Paxton Lone Star Liberty PAC, joins the program live from Dallas to unpack the historic Republican defeat across Texas and the country. Keller details the catastrophic collapse of Texas GOP power, where not only did Ken Paxton fall to Democrat James Talarico in the U.S. Senate race, but long-serving Governor Greg Abbott was unseated, majorities in both state legislative chambers were thrown into jeopardy, and traditional GOP gains across the Rio Grande Valley and suburban districts vanished. Keller attributes the national sweep to voter frustration over inflation, lingering pandemic spending consequences, and foreign policy strain from the conflict in Iran, mixed with conservative base apathy. Turning to local fallout in Missouri, Keller analyzes Fred Wellman’s upset of Representative Ann Wagner in MO-02, revealing that two potential GOP challengers have already contacted him to mount campaigns for 2028. Keller severely criticizes the Jefferson City establishment for failing to pass aggressive redistricting, neglecting initiative petition reform, avoiding the Senate "previous question" procedural maneuver, and letting the state budget balloon from $15 billion to nearly $40 billion without providing property tax relief.
