Tom Ackerman joined Marc Cox with a recap of Arch Madness, over the weekend at The Enterprise Center in St Louis.
Ackerman says he spent the weekend covering the Missouri Valley Conference basketball tournament, a weekend that culminated with Loyola winning the title.
"They're in the tournament, they won yesterday over Drake," says Ackerman, "and Loyola's last Valley game because they are moving onto the Atlantic 10 next year. And then the Valley is adding three teams!" Murray State, Belmont and University of Illinois-Chicago.
Ackerman discusses Illinois and Saint Louis University's chances in their respective conference tournaments, the Big 10 and the A 10.
There is currently still no major progress between the owners and players in Major League Baseball's labor dispute says Ackerman.
"They are at a standstill right now, the players and owners, with no end in sight to this negotiation," says the KMOX Sports Director.
