Albert Pujols makes it to 690 career home runs with a grand slam today

KMOX's Matt Pauley, the host of Sports Open Line and the Cardinals Pre & Post Game shows, joins The Mark Reardon Show to share on the Cardinal's big day at the ballpark, including a grand slam by Albert Pujols!

“That’s [Pujols]’s first ever pinch hit grand slam in his career, which is incredible. The fact that it happened in the third inning, I don’t think we’re making enough of a big deal about this. Oliver Marmol went to his bench in the third inning!” Pauley shared on Pujols achievement.

Later Pauley recapped the runs, “Nootbaar hit a home run in the sixth inning later in the game with a two run home run. So it was five nothing going into [the third inning]. They got one run to make it six nothing. Then Pujols, the grand slam, makes it ten nothing. Nootbaar’s home run was a two run shot. And they got another one in there as well.”
