Cardinals Spanish Language Broadcaster, Polo Ascencio, joins The Mark Reardon Show to discuss Albert Pujols’ performance at last night’s Home Run Derby.
“It was exciting, Dodgers Stadium was pulling for Albert Pujols, those fans remember what Albert did for them in the few months he was there. Everybody was pulling for him, everybody,” said Ascencio on Pujols.
Later he commented, “It was electric. In the end, I think Albert was glad it was over after the second round because he was getting very tired and the guy who was pitching was having a lot of fun but I’m pretty sure at that point they were happy and glad it was over… We should all be very proud of what he did, and what he’s done for over 20 years for the MLB.”
