ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) -- No mask mandate is in place for St. Louis County, after judge grants temporary pause to the order.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt asked for a temporary pause to the county mask mandate that was ordered by St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page.

Schmitt announced his victory for a temporary pause on Twitter:

According to the court ruling, Page, Dr. Faisal Kahn and the county health department cannot enforce a mask mandate until an August 17 hearing on whether the county council's vote to strike down the mandate can stand.

The city of St. Louis and Kansas City's mask mandates remain as of now.
