Post-Combine Mock Draft Roundup: Who Do The Experts Have The Lions Taking?

97.1 The Ticket -- The annual NFL Combine has come and gone, which means NFL Draft discussions are heating up even more.

With Detroit holding the No. 3 pick in April's draft, many are speculating about what GM Bob Quinn and the Lions staff will do. Will they go after Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa? Will they look to bolster the defensive line with Auburn's Derrick Brown, or maybe target Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons?

Three major post-combine mock drafts released on Monday say it won't be any of those guys.

The latest mocks from CBS, Bleacher Report and NFL.com all have the Lions drafting Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah.

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has the Miami Dolphins trading up to No. 3 to draft Tagovailoa, with Detroit taking Okudah fifth. Bleacher Report's Matt Miller and NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah both have the Lions taking him at No. 3.

Here's a look at what each site has to say about Okudah to the Lions:

CBS

"He is the smoothest corner in this draft. He is the type of shutdown corner teams love."

Prisco has Okudah ranked as the No. 1 CB and fourth best prospect overall.

Bleacher Report

"In a mock draft without trades predicted, Jeff Okudah to the Detroit Lions is an easy selection as the team continues to shoot down rumors of trading quarterback Matthew Stafford. One trade that could happen—cornerback Darius Slay—would open the door to Okudah being a smart choice for the position-needy Lions.

Okudah is an incredibly talented prospect who will rank as one of the best cornerbacks evaluated in the last decade. He has excellent size, toughness, instincts, speed and is a high-character player with nearly perfect traits to transition immediately to the NFL."

NFL.com

"I fully expect the Lions to trade out of this pick. They can slide back a couple of spots and still grab Okudah."

While CBS actually included the trade in their mock, each of the other writers notes that they expect the Lions to trade out of the third pick.

In addition to his 41-inch vertical jump, Okudah ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at last weekend's combine.

That's a pretty quick time. He was also pretty quick to snap back at a reporter who asked him about his "sloppy" play.

Someone who I'm guessing didn't watch much Jeff Okudah last year asked him about having "a tendency to get kind of sloppy."Okudah's response: "I had zero pass interferences, zero holdings, so cut the tape on the game. I think you might see something else." pic.twitter.com/oQ3rrtP3q1

Okudah took a hard fall during position workouts at the combine, but said on Twitter afterwards that he's fine.
