It's not clear if either would be drafted, but Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner are considering leaving Michigan for the NBA.

Juwan Howard told reporters Thursday that both players are in the process of making up their minds. The junior Livers is likely more NBA-ready, while the freshman Wagner might have a higher ceiling.

Livers averaged 12.9 points while shooting 40.2 percent from three in 21 games this season. Howard said Livers is talking over the decision with his parents and "evaluating the opportunity to hire an agent to see what's the best decision moving forward for next year, either exploring the NBA level or playing at the University of Michigan."

The 6'7 Livers, who missed 10 games this season due to various lower-body injuries, is ranked No. 100 among ESPN's top 100 prospects for this year's draft.

Wagner, whose older brother Mo left Michigan for the NBA in 2018, came on strong at the end of the season, averaging 15.9 points over the final seven games. The NBA is likely in his future, but he'd benefit from another season in college. He doesn't turn 19 until August.

Howard said he and Wagner had "a good conversation about testing the NBA waters," and there will be more discussions to come.

"We haven’t had an in-depth discussion quite yet. His name has been mentioned as far as a guy who could possibly test NBA waters. But I know he’s going to make the best decision for himself and his family," siad Howard. "Right now he’s spending time with his brother as well as his parents. I assume that they will have those discussions at the right time."

Wagner is not listed among ESPN's top 100 draft prospects. The highest-ranked Michigan player on the list is center Jon Teske, who comes in at No. 88.

Both Livers and Wagner have the option of getting feedback on their draft stock from the NBA’s Undergraduate Advisory Committee. They won't forfeit their college eligiblity unless they're delcared for the draft more than 10 days after the combine.
