“Framing Britney Spears,” a documentary focused on Britney Spears’ career and conservatorship, shined a spotlight on the media's upsetting and, oftentimes, unfair treatment of celebrities.

Following the documentary, fans began unearthing other problematic interviews, including Spears’ chat with Diane Sawyer, which was briefly mentioned in the documentary.

In the interview, Sawyer bluntly blamed Spears for the demise of her relationship with Justin Timberlake by asking her: "You did something that caused him so much pain…so much suffering. What did you do?"

Soon after, other troubling interviews began making headlines including Jennifer Aniston’s segment on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in 1998.

The actress appeared on the show to promote her film “The Object of My Affection.”

Following an anecdote about running into fan’s at her gym’s steam room, Letterman moved his chair closer to Aniston’s and said: "Forgive me if this is rude, I just want to try one thing."

He then leaned in as if he were going in for a kiss, prompting an audible shriek from a taken-aback Aniston.

However, he proceeded to place a piece of her hair in his mouth and suck on it.

He then gave her a tissue to wipe the residue saliva from her hair, which she did while making a disgusted face.

While Aniston played along and laughed it off, fans weren’t as forgiving as they shared their outrage on social media.

“Can't get over how creepy and disturbing this clip of Jennifer Aniston on Letterman is,” one user noted.

“I was a fan of Letterman when I was in high school and university, but when I look back on a lot of his clips they're soo awkward and cringy. The most horrifying one is him smelling Jennifer Aniston's hair- there's no comedy it's just straight up sexual harrassment on air,” another exclaimed.

A third chimed in “That is so creepy and disgusting. What a misogynistic thing to do to a woman. And on national television.”

Another user pointed out that Letterman never even explained his behavior and instead “gaslighted” her and made her apologize for “screaming and scaring him.”

The "Friends" actress has not commented on the resurfaced clip.
