There will be no “easing into” Sunday’s 2-hour season 4 premiere, and according to TV Guide, we should prepare ourselves. Promised to reach new levels of drama and nail-biting action in the first episode, it sounds like we won’t have to wait long to find out which members of the Dutton family survive the absolute carnage season 3 left us with.
"It's such an intense opening, Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton) told TV Guide. “We pick up right where we left off, and Monica doesn't know who or what she's fighting. All she has on her mind is to keep [son] Tate [played by Brecken Merrill] safe."
Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) added the premiere is "fire,” which we expect he means literally and figuratively. “I mean, it's high energy. It's right where we left off, and more intense because the hunt's on, and it gets crazy and fun…It's gonna be fun for everybody."
THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING US!
While this level of drama and suspense is not new to Yellowstone fans, Asbille says there are new elements to this season that promise to take it up a notch (We didn’t even know there was a higher level than the last 3 seasons!)
Asbille disclosed the season 4 premiere was filmed "really differently [from] the rest of the show," referring to it as an "intense, almost war-like space."
Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) adds, “It takes some time to get through all the carnage...but [creator] Taylor Sheridan does a great job of slowing the season down for a minute and being able to go through the different pain and suffering of each and every character and what they've gone through.”
Drama, pain, suffering, suspense… we’ll endure it all for this show!
Season 4 of Yellowstone is set to premiere November 7 with back-to-back episodes on Paramount Network.
