Mac Jones was visibly frustrated at times Monday night, but Bill Belichick is deciding against publicly expressing how he feels about that.

During the Patriots’ eventual win over the Arizona Cardinals, there was a moment when Jones seemed miffed with widely-criticized offensive play-caller Matt Patricia.

ESPN’s cameras spotted Jones shouting obscenities during the third quarter, and a few minutes later he appeared to wave off Patricia. It was suspected that Jones’ frustration was about play calls not coming in on time after the Patriots needed to burn a timeout.

Jones, for his part, said after the game that he didn’t have an issue with Patricia.

In his weekly appearance on “The Greg Hill Show” Belichick was asked about Jones’ apparent frustration with the timing of plays coming in. The head coach didn’t offer much.

“We all want to get the plays in on time,” Belichick said.

Asked if he at least likes to see the passion from Jones, Belichick was equally blunt.

“Yeah, I don’t know,” he said.

Things ended fine for the Patriots, with a solid second half guiding them to a 27-13 victory. Jones was spotted hugging Patricia on the sidelines late in the game, so for now things appear to chummy enough between Jones and Patricia.
