Jerry Jones provides update on family following car accident outside Levi's Stadium

The family of Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was involved in a car accident outside Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara before Sunday's game between Dallas and the San Francisco 49ers.

A vehicle Jerry Jones' daughter, Charlotte Jones, son Jerry Jones Jr., and grandson, Shy Anderson Jr., were riding in was struck by a rising barricade as it attempted to pull into the stadium. Jones provided an update on the incident during his visit with Shan and RJ Tuesday morning on 105.3 The Fan.

"In this case, the car was totaled," Jones said. "Busted all the frame, everything. It's a tremendous force, like if a small explosion had gone off under there. Tremendous. And those were the things that created the injuries."

All three family members were checked out by medical personnel at the stadium and were able to attend the game, but Jones said they are still recovering from the ugly accident.

Jerry Jones Jr. suffered a concussion in the accident but was feeling better Tuesday, his dad said. Charlotte Jones "wasn't feeling as good as she hoped" as of Tuesday morning, Jones said.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones told the K&C Masterpiece on Monday that his brother and sister "were really sore" but were "going to be just fine."
