According to Trey Flowers, there's a bunch of hungry dogs on Detroit's defensive line.
And according to Everson Griffen, they've just added another.
The Lions acquired the Pro Bowl defensive end Tuesday afternoon in a trade with the Cowboys. By Tuesday night, Griffen had a message for his new fans.
"Y'all are getting a motherf*ckin dog ready to eat."
Griffen, 32 should boost a pass rush that ranks 28th in the NFL with eight sacks on the season. He had 2.5 sacks in 7 games with the Cowboys.
Prior to signing with Dallas in the offseason, Griffen tormented Detroit for 10 years with Minnesota. Now he comes to the other side.
Due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, Griffen can't practice with the Lions until next week. So his debut will likely coming in Week 9 against, naturally, the Vikings.
