Ever thumb through a Guinness World Records book? There's no limit to the sort of zany things you'll find in there. Like the record owned by Lions' new quarterbacks coach Mark Brunnel.
In 2018, Brunell became the Guinness World Record holder of the ... waitttttt for it ... "longest throw and catch of a hotdog in a bun." The dude flung a hot dog over 68 feet through the air AND (here comes the key part) landed it successfully in a bun.
As Brunell says in the video below, "Anybody can throw a football. Not everybody can throw a hotdog."
Brunell and his partner had to exceed 20 meters -- or 65.6 feet. They came in at 20.96 meters -- 68.8 feet -- and a new world record!
"It took just about everything I had to throw it that far," Brunell said. "Pretty big deal, pretty big deal."
A pretty big deal, indeed. Let's hope he achieves even more with the Lions.
