Pistons GM Troy Weaver has been eyeing Marvin Bagley III. Now he's bringing the big man to town.
The Pistons have acquired Bagley from the Kings in a four-team trade that includes the Clippers and the Bucks and sees Detroit sending forward Trey Lyles, guard Josh Jackson and multiple second-round picks to Sacramento, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bagley, the second overall pick in 2018, could fill Detroit's long-term need for size and scoring in the paint. He averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the first three seasons of his career, though he's down to 9.3 points and 7.2 boards this year amid battles with an ankle injury.
Weaver has been actively searching this season for a young center to pair with second-year pro and Rising Star selection Isaiah Stewart. At 6'11, Bagley gives the Pistons the length around the rim they're lacking in the 6'8 Stewart.
Bagley, 22, is set to be a free agent this summer and will be eligible for a $14.7 million qualifying offer if he starts 41 games this season. He's currently at 17. His qualifying offer drops to $7.2 million if he falls short.
Jackson and Lyles have come off the bench this season in Detroit, Jackson averaging 7.1 points per game -- a steep reduction from last season -- and Lyles averaging a career-high 10.1. Both are pending free agents, though Lyles has a club option for next season.
Interestingly, Weaver rebuffed a trade for Bagley last season when the Kings reportedly asked for Saddiq Bey. Now he's got both.
