Monte Morris' tenure with his hometown Pistons lasted six games.

The Flint native is being traded to the Timberwolves for guard Shake Milton, forward Troy Brown Jr. and a 2030 second-round pick, per ESPN. Acquired by the Pistons last offseason for a future second-round pick, Morris missed most of this season with a quad injury.

Morris, who goes from the worst team in the NBA to one of the best, is on an expiring three-year, $27.8 million contract. Both Milton and Brown are signed through next season on non-guaranteed salaries of $5 million and $4 million, respectively.

Milton averaged 4.7 points in 38 games this season with Minnesota, while Brown averaged 4.2 points in 37 games. Both are career 36 percent shooters from three.

It's the second deal the Pistons have made Wednesday ahead of the trade deadline, which is Thursday at 3 p.m. They've also acquired forward Simone Fontecchio from the Jazz for Kevin Knox and draft capital.
