The NHL's Reverse Retro jerseys are back for the 2022-23 season, with some black for the Red Wings.
The Wings' new threads, which they released Thursday morning via Twitter in conjunction with Adidas, are red with black barber pole striping -- a remix of one of the first uniforms in franchise history when the Red Wings were known as the Cougars.
The Cougars' jerseys, worn for a couple seasons in the 1920's, were white with red striping and DETROIT in the same white block letters across the chest.
The Reverse Retro jerseys will be available to purchase next month. It's not yet clear when the Red Wings will debut them.
