The Warriors are back to their winning ways. So is Draymond Green's podcast.
The Golden State veteran's "The Draymond Green Show" has gone relatively silent since he punched teammate Jordan Poole in October. Since that incident on Oct. 5, Green published two episodes – one interview with Patrick Beverley and another with De'Aaron Fox.
In a nod to Michael Jordan's infamous retirement comeback in 1995, Green announced via social media that he'd be firing up the pod again.
The Fox episode was published on Oct. 21, just four days into the Warriors' season. The campaign has been rocky at times, but Golden State has won five straight games and is looking more cohesive after a fractured start.
Green has been impressed with the Warriors' growth since he said the team was in a "fragile state" to begin the year. The recent 5-0 homestand has done wonders for the group's confidence.
"I think since I said that, we're starting to build an M.O., which is being gritty," Green said. "No matter what the situation is, a team that's gonna keep fighting. I didn't think this team had built an identity all year. We're starting to build and identity and it's coming at a great time."
Now that things seem to be back in order, Green is hopping back into his dual player-media personality full bore. He's been busy with his "Throwing Bones" video series with Uninterrupted, where he casually interviews athletes and celebrities over a game of dominoes, but now we'll get to hear Green's full candid thoughts on the current state of the game.
The Warriors have about half a season left and Steph Curry could be back in four games. Andrew Wiggins should return from his extended absence soon too. It seems like Green will have a lot to talk about in the coming months as the Warriors go for a repeat title. His shows usually drop on Friday, so be on the lookout this weekend.
