Indiana University was reportedly willing to offer Brad Stevens $70 million

Brad Stevens sure must like it in Boston.

According to ESPN.com's Adrian Wojnarowski, Indiana University was prepared to offer the Celtics coach a seven-year, $70 million contract to become its next men's basketball coach.

Such a deal would immediately make the Indiana native the highest-paid coach in all of college basketball, surpassing Kentucky's John Calipari (who makes $8 million a year).

Stevens joined the Celtics in 2013, agreeing to a six-year, $22 million deal after his stint at Butler University. He inked a contract extension last August, with neither the years or financial terms disclosed.

Indiana went on to hire former NBA head coach, and Hoosiers alum, Mike Woodson.
