Ever since helping LSU to its first national championship in women’s basketball and, in the process, drawing a little bit of attention to herself with a few taunts of Iowa star Caitlyn Clark, everything has been coming up “Bayou Barbie” for Tigers star Angel Reese.
Already the NIL leader for all of college basketball, men or women, Reese will now be featured as part of Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue.
The magazine previewed the accompanying article on their website Monday ahead of the issue’s release.
“Things have been super crazy, but I’m excited and blessed to be able to have these opportunities to just go out and being able to be who I am, and I think that I wouldn’t be able to get these opportunities if I didn’t win the national championship,” Reese told Sports Illustrated.
“So the benefits that have come from the national championship have been absolutely amazing, so I’m just blessed and happy,” she continued.
Reese isn’t the only LSU athlete to be featured in the issue. Tiger gymnast Olivia Dunne was revealed over the weekend to also be part of the issue, which hits newsstands May 12.
