The Texas A&M Aggies made a splash on Wednesday, hiring former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino as the program's new offensive coordinator.

Following the conclusion of frustrating regular season, that saw the Aggies go 5-7 and finish with one of the worst offenses in the SEC, head coach and play caller Jimbo Fisher let go of former offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey.
And after an exhaustive search, the Aggies have settled on Petrino who is most recently coming off of a 5-6 season as the head coach of Missouri State.
Petrino will reportedly take over play-calling duties from Fisher.
Petrino spent three years with Missouri State, going 18-15 with two first round playoff losses.
Before his time with the Bears, Petrino had two separate stints at Louisville, where he went a combined 77-35 with a 3-5 record in bowl games in nine seasons.
Petrino is most know for his turbulent time with the Arkansas Razorbacks, where controversy ultimately caused the end of his tenure in Fayetteville.
