A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ruled Monday that actor Danny Masterson, best known for his role on “That 70s Show,” will face rape charges, according to Deadline.
Judge Eleanor Hunter refused to toss out the case under the statute of limitations and additionally rejected a plan by the defense to keep media out of the courtroom. Masterson is scheduled to be arraigned in court on November 2.
Masterson, who is currently out on $3.3 million bail, was accused in June of three counts of forcible rape of three women. He faces a maximum possible sentence of 45 years to life.
According to the Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller, all the alleged crimes took place at Masterson’s Hollywood Hills’ home in 2001 and 2003.
Masterson’s attorney says his client “is innocent, and we’re confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify.”
Masterson was charged with three counts of rape by force of fear. He starred in the hit shows "That '70s Show" and Netflix's "The Ranch."
