Justin Rose came into Saturday's round at Torrey Pines atop the leaderboard and had zero intentions of letting that lead dissipate. The England native splashed a shot in the pond on the 18th hole which has been notorious for dooming some of the best players on the PGA Tour and that still didn't matter. Rose, 38, finished with a bogey and a third-round (69) of the Farmers Insurance Open. With a charged crowd filling Torrey Pines, due in large to the presence of Tiger Woods, Justin Rose looks to bring home the trophy come tomorrow afternoon. Such as shots like this one on; an eagle putt on the 9th hole, earlier in the round.

— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) January 26, 2019Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters Champion, rounded out the third round on Saturday with a field best of (-7) and is currently in second place behind the aforementioned, Rose, at (-15) under. Scott, an Australian native, who has been battling Rose since their early days on Tour in South Africa, began the day surging. Such as this birdie & eagle.

— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) January 27, 2019As advertised, Tiger Woods moves the "golf needle" in any tournament he competes in. Seeing the mass humanity surround Tiger's every shot in person is quite the spectacle. Here is some evidence:
Woods finished the third round at (-1) under par after numerous putts careened the outer lip of the hole that could have potentially been birdied but ended up as penciled-in pars on the scorecard. The former Stanford Cardinal is tied for 48th place at (-5) under (13-strokes behind Justin Rose). He finished on the 9th hole today with a birdie putt that sent the gallery watching (including myself) into a frenzy.
