The Padres took down the Angels Sunday in Peoria by a score of 6-2 thanks to big hits from Ian Kinsler and Eric Hosmer.
The Angels jumped out to a 2-run lead early after a tough first inning for Pedro Avila that saw him issue 3 walks and 2 base hits. However Avila regained his composure and pitched effectively in the second and third innings before being replaced by Kirby Yates in the fourth, and from there the Padres never looked back.
Angels starter Matt Harvey made way for Daniel Hudson in the 5th, and Ian Kinsler promptly made the Angels right hander pay with a 3-run shot into the left field bullpen to regain the lead for the Friars.

March 17, 2019 Eric Hosmer tacked on another 3 RBI's of his own with a bases clearing double in the 7th inning, and that was more than enough for the Padres to take down the Angels for the 2nd time this spring.
