Lindsey Vonn announced her retirement last week from professional skiing. Vonn has won three Olympic medals, seven World Championship medals and 82 World Cup events, which ranks second to Ingemar Stenmark's 86. She was best known for the downhill, where she racked up 43 World Cup wins and two Olympic medals. A gold in 2010 in Vancouver, and a bronze in Pyeongchang last year. So her retirement is a big deal. The sport is losing a legend.

Vonn was set to make her second to last race start of her career, and the unthinakable happened! About 20 or 25 seconds into her run she crashed hard into the barrier. See that below ⤵️

Her last race is Sunday, and all reports indicate she will take part. Hopefully nothing holds her back from competing in her final professional race.
