The Atlanta Braves had yet to make it to the World Series in the new millennium prior to this season, but they certainly made the most of their opportunity once they were there, taking down the Houston Astros in Game 6 to win their fourth ring as the Braves — twice in Atlanta, once in Milwaukee and once in Boston. And no, I'm not counting their 1892 ring as the Boston Beaneaters, but that one happened as well.
Needless to say, that 21-year span of World Series-less baseball since the 2000s began probably felt like a long time, and you can tell from the outpouring of excitement on social media from former Braves stars — including some who played in Atlanta prior to 2000 — just how meaningful this title is.
Hall of Famer Greg Maddux, who spent 11 seasons with the Braves and picked up three consecutive Cy Young awards to begin his stay in Atlanta, let fans know that it was time to celebrate when it was all over.
Franchise great and potential future Hall of Famer Dale Murphy belted 371 home runs in a Braves uniform and won two MVP awards in his 15-year stint, but he only made the postseason once. Needless to say, he was very happy to see the win and marveled at how impressive the Braves' fan base was in Houston.

David Justice and Brian Jordan, two All-Star outfielders for the Braves at different points of the 1990s, celebrated the team as a whole.
Some other former Braves, who played for varying lengths of times and had varying impacts on the franchise, also joined in on the celebration.
