Rob Gronkowski shocked the world when he decided to come out of retirement after months of speculation, but he made the right choice, winning a Super Bowl after reuniting with longtime partner-in-crime Tom Brady. He also made a nice chunk of change and, thanks to his strong performance, he earned another contract for the 2021 season worth $8 million (with up to $2 million in incentives).

$7 million of that may now be gone. According to a spy that spoke with the New York Post, Gronk has purchased a new home worth that amount in the prestigious 35 Hudson Yards in New York City (via Jennifer Gould). Active listings within the building average $10.3 million per unit, with a low end of "just" $4.25 million and a five-bed, five-and-a-half-bath unit available for $28.25 million.

The building, developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, is the tallest residential building in Hudson Yards and features incredible amenities, including a "world-class Equinox club and spa," gym, playroom, dining room and more.

The spy who talked with the New York Post said that the future Hall of Fame tight end was just in the building, "supervising the furniture setup," and that "it has always been on his bucket list to own property in New York City." Gould also noted that Gronk and his girlfriend, Camille Kostek, are now close in proximity to Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, who reportedly live in another property developed by Related.

Gould says that the unit they purchased is a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath residence. Two of these have sold recently at around $7 million — one at $7.004 million in January and one at $6.925 million just two weeks ago in early April — and they are both filled with jaw-dropping rooms, features and views (via StreetEasy).

Nearby is Vessel, a popular visitor attraction that you've probably seen before in pictures of friends on social media — I know I have. I'd love nothing more than to see a Gronk Spike from the very top, and perhaps now that he's apparently living nearby, we can make that a reality.
