The Padres lost their second game in as many nights to the Astros, losing 3-2 on Saturday night. Things were going the Padres' way for the first half of the game. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a home run to the train tracks beyond the left field fence in the 3rd inning, and Manny Machado's RBI-double in the 5th gave the Padres a 2-0 lead that felt like enough the way Michael King had pitched to that point. King had only allowed 3 hits and a walk through 5 scoreless frames, but issued a walk and then gave up a 2-run homer to Christian Walker to tie the game. Isaac Paredes' bloop single into shallow center in the 7th brought home what proved to be the go-ahead run, as Josh Hader locked down the 9th inning for the second straight game for the Astros. The Padres will hope to avoid being swept when they send Dylan Cease to the mound in Sunday's series finale.
