The Padres lost their fifth consecutive game on Friday night, falling to the Braves 6-1. Matt Waldron cruised through the first four innings of the game, not allowing a run. He ran into trouble in the 5th however, giving up 4 runs on a solo homer to Marcell Ozuna, an RBI-single to Travis d'Arnaud and a 2-run home run to Orlando Arcia. Waldron bounced back to throw 2 more scoreless innings afterwards, which helped preserve the bullpen. The Padres lone run came on an RBI-double from Manny Machado in the 4th inning. Dylan Cease will attempt to end the 5-game losing streak on Saturday.
