The Padres lost a tough one 3-2 to the Rockies on Sunday, bringing an end to their streak of 8 consecutive series won, falling just one series short of setting a new franchise record. Joe Musgrove was sharp in his second start since retuning from the IL, allowing just one run while striking out 6 in 4.1 innings of work. The big blow to the Padres came in the 3rd inning, when Ha-Seong Kim injured his shoulder diving back to first base on a pickoff attempt, and had to exit the game. Mike Shildt said after the game that Kim will receive imaging on Monday, and they'll await those results before knowing his status moving forward. With the game tied 1-1, the Rockies added 2 runs in the 6th inning, one of which was unearned, to take a 3-1 lead. Manny Machado's solo homer in the 8th made it a one run game, but that was as close as the Padres would get, as they conclude the season with a 5-8 record against Colorado. The Padres return home on Monday to face the Twins.
