Manny Machado was voted as the National League All-Star team's starting third baseman, narrowly edging out Nolan Arenado by a vote of 51%-49%. Machado has had an MVP-caliber first half, hitting 13 home runs, scoring 50 runs, driving in 47 runs, stealing 7 bases and accumulating a .920 OPS. Machado joins Graig Nettles and Ken Caminiti as the only Padres third basemen to start in the All-Star Game. The rest of the All-Stars will be announced on Sunday. Congratulations to Manny Machado!
