The Padres completed a perfect 7-0 homestand, and won their 8th game in a row with a 5-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Luis Campusano continued his torrid start to the season, driving in the first run of the game with an RBI-single in the 2nd inning. Ramon Laureano added another run in the 2nd with a groundout to first base, and Fernando Tatis Jr. drove in two more runs with a single to center field in the 4th inning. Walker Buehler carried a shutout into the 6th inning, but ran into trouble then, allowing a run on three consecutive singles to begin the inning. Bradglay Radriguez relieved Buehler, and allowed a run to score on a single by Julio Rodriguez, before getting one out and issuing a walk to Randy Arozarena. With two runners on and one out, Adrian Morejon entered the game, and looked like his vintage self, retiring both batters he faced to get out of the jam and preserve the Padres' lead. Morejon would get 5 outs in all without allowing a run, followed by a scoreless 8th inning from Jason Adam and a 1-2-3 9th inning from Mason Miller, who moved into 2nd place on the franchise's all time consecutive scoreless innings streak. The Padres improved to 13-6 and will now travel up the freeway to face the Angels beginning on Friday night.
