The Padres continued their scorching hot play on Friday evening, falling behind 3-0 to the Guardians on the road in Cleveland, then coming from behind and winning their sixth game in a row and 16th in their last 20 games. Michael King wasn't his sharpest, allowing two home runs and an RBI-single through the first three innings, but the Padres battled back. Xander Bogaerts blasted a 2-run homer in the 4th inning and Fernando Tatis Jr.'s solo shot in the 5th inning tied the game at 3 apiece. Luis Campusano broke the tie with a 2-run bases loaded double in the 6th, and drove in another run in the 7th as well. Craig Stammen opted to give Adrian Morejon and Mason Miller the night off, and his bullpen came through in a big way, with Yuki Matsui, Jeremiah Estrada and Bradgley Rodgriguez allowing just one run in three innings to secure the win. Rodriguez was called upon to close things out in the 9th and protect a 2-run lead, and did just that to earn his first save of the season. Randy Vasquez will draw the start on Saturday for the Padres.
