The Padres comfortably beat the Giants 13-4 on Sunday to split their 4-game series, thanks to an offensive explosion. The Padres scored 5 runs in the 1st inning, including a 3-run opposite field homer from Luis Campusano. Ha-Seong Kim blasted a 3-run homer of his own in the 2nd inning, as the Friars totaled 16 hits on the day. The Padres were fortunate to build a 12-0 lead through 3 innings, because starter Michael King struggled with his control, walking 7 Giants in just 4 innings of work. King also walked 3 batters in 3.1 innings of relief during the opening series in Seoul. King will get another chance at the Giants next Saturday. The Padres improved to 3-3 on the season and will welcome in the Cardinals for a 3-game series beginning Monday.
