The Padres beat the A's 6-1 on Monday night, as the Padres' bats stayed hot. Fernando Tatis Jr. homered for the 3rd time in 4 games, and extended his hitting streak to 16 games. Manny Machado went 2-4 in his return to the lineup, Jake Cronenworth added his 10th homer of the year, and Jackson Merrill collected 3 hits. Dylan Cease wasn't at his best, allowing 8 hits and a walk in 6 innings, but was able to work his way out of jams and allowed just 1 run in 6 innings. The victory put the Padres back at the .500 mark, which they'll look to clear with a win on Tuesday night.
