The Padres lost to the Phillies 4-3 on Tuesday evening, with the Phillies rallying for 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to walk it off against the Padres. The Padres scored 3 runs in the 6th inning on a 2-run homer from Luis Campusano and an RBI-single from Jurickson Profar, but only had 4 hits on the night. With the Padres leading 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th inning, Kyle Schwarber hit a solo homer to cut the deficit in half. Robert Suarez was brought in with 2 outs in the 8th inning after Schwarber's home run, and got Trea Turner to fly out. In the bottom of the 9th, Suarez allowed 4 consecutive base hits, with Nick Castellanos capping it off with a walk-off double. The Padres will try to avoid being swept in Wednesday's series finale.
