According to multiple media reports, Manny Machado has agreed to a 5-year $170 million contract extension with the Padres. This extension means that Machado will NOT opt out after this season, meaning Machado is now signed for the next 11 years for $350 million. Machado reportedly has a full no-trade clause, but also no opt out clause in this new deal. Manny Machado will finish his career with the San Diego Padres.
