According to multiple media reports, the Padres have made a huge trade for left-handed Marlins closer Tanner Scott and RHP Bryan Hoeing in exchange for prospects LHP Robby Snelling, RHP Adam Mazur, INF Graham Pauley and INF Jay Beshears. Scott has 18 saves and 2 blown saves with a 1.18 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 53 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched this season, but will be a free agent at the end of the year. Hoeing meanwhile has a 2.70 ERA in 30 innings this season. According to Baseball America, Snelling was the Padres #3 prospect, Mazur #4, Pauley #6 and Beshears #29.
