It's been an up and down week for the Aztecs, who bounced back from their worst performance of the season on Saturday against Boise State with one of their best performances of the season on Monday against UNLV. With the scars from losing big to Utah State in the Mountain West Conference Championship Game in football, the Aztecs hoped to carry the momentum over from Monday's win against UNLV into Wednesday's game against the Aggies. San Diego State trailed by 1 point at halftime, but things fell apart in the second half, and Utah State ended up winning by a final score of 75-57.
SDSU only shot 33% from behind the 3-point line while Utah State shot 42%. The Aggies outrebounded the Aztecs 35 to 21, including 9-0 on the offensive glass. San Diego State drops to 11-5, 3-2 on the season. Their next game is Monday night against New Mexico.
