San Diego State put an end to its 4-game losing streak with a 41-34 win over Hawaii on Saturday night. QB Jalen Mayden was efficient, completing 18 of 24 passes for 224 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception, while adding 53 yards on the ground. Mekhi Shaw was terrific as well, catching 6 passes for 126 yards and a score. But the story of the game was the Aztecs defense, who despite allowing 34 points, forced 4 turnovers, including a pick-6, which helped lead them to victory.
The Aztecs trailed 24-20 entering the 4th quarter, but saved their best for last, scoring 3 touchdowns en-route to victory. The win was the Aztecs' first since week 2 against Idaho State. SDSU will host Nevada next Saturday at Snapdragon Stadium at 6 pm. You can check out the highlights from Saturday's win below!
