Jeff + Amanda's RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK is Tom's Kitchen in Sugarloaf!
Clinton Bachert always dreamed of having his own restaurant. In December of 2019, he was given the opportunity to purchase Tom’s Kitchen. He was finally living out his dream … and then the pandemic happened. The shutdown devastated his business.
During the shutdown, he tried to make lemonade with lemons … and made improvements within the restaurant. With the support of the local community, they got by with takeout orders and catering. He has since brought back every employee that wanted to come back. Clinton says he knows what ownership is all about … the people, not the profits.
Tom's Kitchen: Good Food, Good People, Good Times
Each delectable dish from soups to entrees to daily specials are prepared fresh --stock simmered hours, gravies and sauces stirred till smooth, butcher shop quality meats, fresh vegetables and produce. Desserts are created in their own kitchens, from the fresh baked pies made with apples, pumpkins, and peaches, to their own famous rice pudding made with fresh milk and sugar.
This weekend Tom's Kitchen is offering a KRZ SPECIAL: smoky peanut butter mayo crispy chicken sandwich with french fries for $7!
