1 in 5 lost pets are the result of fireworks or thunderstorms. Here's a few ideas on how to keep your pets safe this week from my friends at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in Clarks Summit.
1. keep them inside & secured.
2. give them a safe place to hide.
3. use background noise (TV/radio) to mask the sound of the fireworks. we highly suggest 98.5 KRZ!
4. make sure their ID's & microchips are updated in the event they do get out.
5. stay home with them.
6. keep them occupied so they are distracted by the sound.
