Songs of the Day!

"High On You" - Survivor
Keyboard player Jim Peterik says he got the idea for the song's title after witnessing Sly and the Family Stone singer Sly Stone run on stage during a concert in 1977 and yell to the crowd, "'I want you to know, people, I am high on you."

"I Can't Wait" - Nu Shooz
Nu Shooz founder John Smith described this as an "uplifting love song," and it was actually charting the same time as the completely unrelated Stevie Nicks song "I Can't Wait."

"Oh Yeah" - Yello
Band member Boris Blank described the lyrics as "a fat little monster sits there very relaxed and says, 'Oh yeah, oh yeah,'" and the song was featured in Jeff's favorite movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off.'

"It Takes Two" - Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock
This was voted the "greatest single of all time" by Spin Magazine in 1989, but critic David Hinckley once described the song as "the equivalent of a three-year-old shooting his mother with a squirt gun in order to get her attention."
