Mike Wimmer was able to use his time during the pandemic wisely, taking on a few courses to his already heavy school workload, all while working on his own startup called "Reflect Social."
At the end of this month, Wimmer will graduate both high school AND with an associate's degree, after taking a combined course load. And by the way, he's only 12-years-old.
Despite being years younger than his classmates, Wimmer, who will be graduating as valedictorian of Concord Academy High School, tells CNN they get along well, and he was even voted onto the school's Homecoming Court last year.
With graduation now a few weeks ago, Wimmer is now weighing his options for the future. He's got multiple job offers, both in and outside the United States, more schooling, or even a fellowship that will allow him to grow his startup.
All the while, he also still enjoys just being a kid, and "normal" kid activities like playing basketball or building Lego sets. He says, "A lot of people think I've given up my childhood or somehow lost it, and I say to them that I'm having the time of my life."
