Songs of the Day!

"Fly" - Sugar Ray
-Song was ineligible to chart on the Hot 100 because a physical CD single was never released in the US!
-1997 also saw the release of the very first commercially available DVD. And the movie? Twister!

"The Look Of Love" -ABC
-The song was inspired by a real-life breakup singer Martin Fry had gone through.
–The girl saying "goodbye" at the end of the second verse is the ACTUAL girl that broke up with Fry!

"It's My Life" - Talk Talk
-The song was released in 1984, which was a big year for movies and music.  This year both Ghostbusters AND Gremlins were released, along with Bruce Springsteen's seventh album, Born in the USA, which is the FIRST CD ever manufactured in the United States.

"Would I Lie To You" - Eurythmics
-The band recorded the album Be Yourself Tonight in a small room they set as a recording studio in the suburbs of Paris. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart lived in apartments on top of each other while they were making the album.
