31% of couples say you need to share your phone's password with your partner

Should couple's be required to share their phone's password with one another?

Couples shouldn't have anything to hide, right? But is there something to say for having individual privacy, even in a relationship?

A majority of a poll of 20,000 Americans say that you should NOT.

According to YouGov, 31% of Americans say you absolutely should, 45% said no way, and 25% weren't sure, or think it "depends."

As far as the experts go, it varies from couple to couple.

Erika Ettin, founder and CEO of A Little Nudge, told Elite Daily, "First of all, it's important to understand that "there's no 'normal' when it comes to couples' behaviors. If you want to know your partner's passwords because you don't trust him/her, then there are bigger issues that need to be discussed together. Why are you having trust issues?"
